Into Gold...

Water Ripple, originally uploaded by y.showalter

There are many fish in the ocean that swim and swirl
But it's the oyster that turns water into Pearl;
Ideas numerous, as many drops as the ocean can hold
But it's the person who can turn ideas into gold.

It will rain...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I know I will never reach that place
That which is so crowded yet so lonely
This is where true joy lies unfolded
Amidst swirls of laughter
Amongst friends to share
I don't want to reach that place
That which is so dark and void
Yet the eyes will begin to empty themselves
And begin to create a hollow inside
The tears, they flow on the surface
Unaware about the pain within
Unaware of the life below
And then it will rain.

And then it will rain

Tears...

Tears on my pillow
From a sleepless night
Wondering why
You upped & took flight

I know I’m not perfect
But I strive to be
The best that
One can possibly be

My heart & soul
Belong only to you
I wish you’d believe me
Wish it’d get through

Talks of our future
All that we shared
That was reality for me
You said it was just words

I miss you more
Than I can ever say
Maybe just maybe
You’ll call today

Tears on my pillow by airhead

Azalea...

Azaleas in Bloom, originally uploaded by Flowers4Zoe

I picked an azalea
And brought it home.
Now when I contemplate it,
In its crimson dye
I see the color
Of my lover's robe.

The Oak Tree...

Ancient Oak, originally uploaded by noopzilla

A mighty wind
Blew night and day
It stole the oak tree's leaves away

Then snapped its boughs
And pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke
How can you still be standing Oak

The oak tree said, I know that you
Can break each branch of mine in two
Carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs, and make me swa
y

But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You'll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me

Until today, I wasn't sure
Of just how much I could endure
But now I've found, with thanks to you
I'm stronger than I ever knew.

My Daily Prayer...

Praying Hands at Sunset, originally uploaded by Lollie dot com

God grant to me the strength of heart, of motive and of will,
To do my part and falter not, This purpose to fulfill.

To be a little kindlier with the passing of each day;
To leave but happy memories as I go along my way;
To use possessions that are mine in service full and free;
To sacrifice the trivial things for larger good to be;
To give of love in lavish way that friendships true may live;
To be less quick to criticize more ready to forgive;
To use such talents as I have that happiness may grow;
To be quite free from self interest, what’ere the task I do;
To take the bitter with the sweet, assured ‘tis better so;
To help the world’s faith in God and right, no matter how things run;
To work and plan and trust and pray, until the Journey’s done.
To count my garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall;
Count my days by golden hours, don’t remember clouds at all.
Count my nights by stars, not shadows, count my life by smiles not tears,
And with joy through all my lifetime, count my age by friends not years.

Lotus...like beautiful woman...

Summer Light, originally uploaded by Giovanni88Ant

"The leaves break the bandage of the green stem,
stretch themselves and form a green pool with untidy edges.
Now the flower comes from out of the vast surface of the water,
just like a very beautiful woman coming gracefully from her bath."

~translated from an old Chinese poem

The lovely stars...

Forget-me-not, originally uploaded by Balakov

Silently, one by one,
in the infinite meadows of heaven,

Blossomed the lovely stars,
the forget-me-nots of the angels.

One-winged Angels...

Embraced flight, originally uploaded by See El Photo

We are each of us angels with only one wing,
and we can only fly by embracing one another.

The Size of your Heart...

My Heart Grows, photos taken by Sean Montreal
Originally uploaded by Flowers4Zoe

It isn't the size of your house as such,
That matters so much at all;
It's the gentle hand and its loving touch,
That make it great or small.

The friends who come and the hour they go,
Who out of your house depart;
Will judge it not by the style you show,
But rather ... by the size of your heart.

It isn't the size of your head so much,
It isn't the wealth you found;
What will make you happy is how you touch,
The other lives that are all around.

For making money is not hard,
To live life well is an art:
How people love you and how they regard ...
Is all in the size of your heart.
