There was an ugly caterpillar,
That would do not a thing but eat,
she thought she was quite nice,
Then she saw her defeat.

She met a beautiful butterfly,
With wings that could expand,
"I can be like that!", she shouted,
And ate the leaf in her hand.

She tried her best,
She looked real tough,
"No," she sighed,
This will never be enough.

She felt tired one day,
So she took a nap,
Crawled into her pupa,
And shut that little cap.

When she woke up,
Everything was different,
The sun was shining bright outside,
And the air smelled of mint.

She felt something on her back,
It was bright and dark blue,
She had become a butterfly,
Her dream had come true!

If we listen with our ears and hearts
Such a wonderful sound we start to hear
As our spirits on the winds depart
A song chases away all of our fear

It's like butterfly wings as gentle we float
In the ecstacy of being so near
The love you give heightening every beautiful note
Together our feeling becoming so clear

Like a waltz upon the breeze gently blows
Our spirits float high to the beat of our heart
Rhythm guides as our steps sweetly flow
Dancing like a windy gust across the park

The song of the butterfly is all we can hear
Only we have to listen with our hearts
When love has become all you hold dear
We fly with the little angels of gardens and parks
